Hello!! :) Anything new today? ( Comment below!) I went to school at 7:00am to work on my weekly recap :) So here I am at the South Building :)
Today I once again had chef Kloeble!!! Whoo hoo ! 3 days in a row! :) We received our quiz from last week! and I did well which made my day wonderful :) The culinary concepts class started at 9:00am and ended at 12:00pm.. It went by so fast! There's never enough time to learn every material . So we have to continue next week! Today we also had a quiz regrading sauces which is by the way included in our midterm!!!! The midterm idea is giving me butterflies as I am writing this... haha.. Chef Kloble also reviewed every material back from week 1!! :) So I got extra review! whoo hoo! Today, was a little bit hectic.. Hopefully, everything comes to place ( Mis en place in french) I need to be more organized and be prepared if a situation does not go as planned :) I am looking forward for next week! :)
Intro to success 1:00pm -5:00pm
Easy and fun day today!! Sometimes, I wonder why we have 5 hours for into to success while we have 3 hours for culinary concepts. The extra two hours will be much efficient in 1105 culinary concepts class.. We had the career service do a presentation for us regarding internships, and job affairs :) We played jeopardy!! It was so intense on the final round! Ohh myyy!! We couldve won but we changed our answer last minute!!!! :( But its ok :) We had so much fun playing anyway :) Next week, Group 4 will be presenting.. I will be presenting test taking skills :) my other group mates are doing note taking skills and mnemonics :) Very Fun!!
After Class, I went to the movie night with Jasmine :) We watched hangover!! Whoo very funny but we didn't get to finish it :( Jasmine had to go home while I went to Chef Roa's 1108 class :)
Here is Chef Roa talking to a student :) I had so much working with her :) I LEARNED different techniques and her teaching style was very organized! This gave me an insight on how to work in the kitchen in an organized manner :) She also went over knife skills which was very helpful!!! :) My groupmates were really friendly and fun to work with :) I made a new friend :) Her name is Vanessa Morgan ( the girl thats writing in her notepad, front table :p) :) She is practically in all of my classes and she is my groupmate for Mr. Entrikin's intro to success class :) She is also doing test taking skills ! I also met Mary and Oscar! They were really fun to work with!! ( I didn't get a picture of them.. but you'll meet them tomorrow ok?! ) :) Today was AWESOME!!
