Just woke up looking at my inspiration board :)
Last night, I prepared all the materials that I'll I need for today! So , all i'll do now is to check off the check list before I leave !
Checklist: 1. Uniform: ID, keys, hairnet, jacket, checkered pants,toque,socks, shoes thermometer, sharpie, pen. Materials: Binder, camera, and USB (homework)!Just posing after I tied my neckerchief :p
Very chilly this morning.. LittleMisssSunshine didn't show up today :(
Even if the weather is chilly......you can still breathe the fresh air!! I'm ready to go! I got my lunch box. knife set, and my duffle bag is already in the car! Thank you for helping me prepare all the materials I need mom!! Thank you for you love and support! Ready to learn whoo hoooo!!

Can you see the two gentlemen at the back talking to a petite girl.... hmm wonder who could that be??!! (uhumm That's me!) Omar and Aaron are in charge of cooking the sauce :) We are just COMMUNICATING on what else they need :)
Three lovely ladies :) We are doing the mis en place( preparing the ingredients) from left to right ( LittleMissChef Ileina, Marisela and Leah ) Chef was talking to us while he took this picture!! We all had our game faces on!! :P

Four mother sauces that we cooked today! There are 5 mother sauces originally! We are going to cook the 5th mother sauce tomorrow which is hollandaise. First row, Bechamel, ( white sauce) Espagnole ( brown sauce) 2nd row, Veloute ( white sauce) and tomato sauce.!!

We ended the class by doing a recap. relearning all the techniques and planning our action plan for tomorrow!! Whoo hoo Here are groups 1 and 2
Groups 3 and 4 :) We are all looking at groups 1 and 2 side because there's a student that is telling us what she learned today :) We do that every single day! We say what we know now that we didn't know before which forces us to think back and grasp as much as we can during the process so we could share our experience and what we learned in class!!
After class! Marisela and I went to the "secret" computer lab( this computer lab is open for all students at AI. you need a student ID to enter and the computer lab is packed with students!!!!) to print some recipes for (derivative mother sauces) or small sauces! Hey culinary arts has calculus too! get it? Derivatives haha :p
Today ended nicely! Tomorrow is food safety and sanitation class with Mr. Romaine and Chef Cochran for fundamentals of classic! How did your day end today?
